EXHAUSTION DYEING OF ACID DYES

Acid dyes are classified by three groups and metal dyes for polyamide, silk and wool dyeing.

Levelling type

1. These dyes have good levelling and migration properties.they are suitable for trichromatic combination shade.
2. Ilkacid L dyes are especially recommened for carpet applications.

Half-Milling type

These dyes have excellent wet fastness properties and good build-up properties. Ilkacid HM dyes are especially recomm-ended for sportwear application.

Milling type

These dyes have very good wet fastness properties and very good build-up properties. they are suitable for havy shade. Ilkacid M dyes are especially for Sportwear,Nylon and Wool fabrics application.

Ilkaset type

1. These Metalcomplex 1:2, 1:1 Dyes have very high fastness properties.
2. Ilkaset 1:2 dyes are applied from weakly acidic dye bath for nylon.
3. Ilkalan 1:1 dyes are applied from stronger Surfaric dye bath for wool.

F Value

The saturation value of Ilkacryl Cationic dyes in the calculated by the following.

f = Sf/ Ds

f = Saturation value of the Ilkacryl dyes.
Sf = Saturation value of the acrylic fiber.
Ds = Saturation value of the dye to be used.

Dyeing Coefficient

The dyeing coefficient is the percentage of exhaustion site of amount of dye and retarder to total dyeing site number of acrylic fiber.

D1,D2 : Percentage of the dye to be used(% o.w.f)
Df : f value of the dye to be used
R : Percentage of the retarder to be used(% o.w.f)
Rf : f value of the retarder to be used
